Thierry Obrist, a Neuchâtel-based tax lawyer with a strong interest in innovation, has become the new President of Microcity SA. He was elected on Monday 7 March at an extraordinary general meeting, following a proposal by the Council of State. The Microcity innovation hub has thus appointed a new ambassador with extensive experience in taxation, business, and the innovation-driven economy.
In this role, Mr Obrist will in particular be responsible for strengthening collaboration between stakeholders within Neuchâtel’s innovation hub, further enhancing its visibility and reputation at local, national and international levels, and ensuring that its service offering effectively meets the needs of start-ups, SMEs and large technology-oriented companies seeking to initiate or develop innovative processes or projects within the canton.
